Aithra Small Serving Tray
Merging functionality and superb aesthetics, this Aithra tray in White Thassos marble and Black Livadia marble is an unmissable tableware item that strikes with its simple yet witty design. The two colors play a game of contrast offering an alternative to the all-day serving dish. And of course, use your imaginations in all means by placing them in your bathroom to your workspace, or to your bookcase.Aithra tray is handcrafted in a small village in the north of Greece famous for its marble quarries and pays homage to ancient Greek civilization, especially to the Acropolis and Parthenon. Both marbles are metamorphic rocks that morph from limestone under extreme heat and pressure deep within the earth. They also contain dolomite along with limestone which gives them different colors and tones.
The traditions of marble carving and sculpture that go back thousands of years to the famous Greek sculptors Phidias and Praxiteles are still alive today. Aithra tray is carved by hand and conveys a feeling of modernity while representing the luxuriousness of the material formed by nature and enhanced by human interpretation. It features a matte polish finish and is signed by the maker and designer. Since the designer does not like to paint the surface of the marble stone with transparent paints or resins, three coats of the highest possible level of protective sealant are applied instead. This will preserve both the piece and the natural feel of the marble. For maintenance, do not use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acid, or homemade cleaners made from lemon, vinegar, and so on. Simply use water or a neutral detergent; this will be more than enough.
